2014 Industrialization is at the heart of a transforming society in the further progression to revolutionize the future and in turn become but a footnote in history. Within every advancement in human kind there are casualties. For every hero to emerge, someone must fall. The natural environment is the source of human sustainment. Disrupted States illustrates the contrasting nature of manmade materials altered from natural resources and natural materials derived directly from the environment. This series explores the concept of humanities impact on the natural environment. Each individual artworks represents a totem like characteristic of the human person constructed from natural resources. This is the embodiment of the dependence that exists between civilization and environment and modern cultures consumption and exploitation of the natural state of being. |
